One Piece of Correctional Fitness Equipment for Hundreds of Inmates

Fitness equipment in correctional facilities, prisons, and jails must withstand daily use, be tamperproof, compact enough to fit within any-sized recreation space, ideally weatherproof for outdoor recreation yards, and accommodate users of different fitness levels. Those are a lot of boxes to check. With all these requirements in mind, our Versa Hi-Lo Pulley System is the perfect piece of correctional fitness equipment for any facility.

The Versa is a single-user station, but over the course of a day, week, month, and year, hundreds of inmates can benefit from its versatility and adjustability.

Why the Versa Is Ideal Correctional Fitness Equipment

Adjustable Resistance for Every Fitness Level

So what is the Versa Hi-Lo Pulley System? In a commercial gym, some people aren’t comfortable using a bench press, squat rack, or dumbbells because they may not have the strength to do so. The one piece of equipment that everybody uses however, is the cables.

Our Versa Hi-Lo Pulley System brings the best of indoor cables to the correctional world in a weatherproof and safe design. With a 100lb secure weight stack that is adjustable in 10lb increments, inmates who have no prior experience exercising, or inmates who have lifted weights their whole lives, can benefit from the adjustability on the Versa.

Safe and Secure Weight Stack for Correctional Facilities

We understand that you can’t just have any weight stack in a correctional environment. The weight stack on the Versa has weights that are secured behind a Lexan gate. To prevent inmates from getting their hands crushed under the weights, once the Lexan gate is lifted, the weights cannot be lifted.

The selectorized pop pin used to adjust the weights travels through a track behind the weights, so it cannot be removed from the unit.

On top of this, if inmates are misbehaving and staff want to take away their ability to use the Versa, staff can open the padlocked access hatch and use our locking mechanism to shut down the weight stack. Not only is the Versa safe, but it also can be used as an incentivization tool for good behavior.
